A person who reads the Bible for the first time will encounter this basic question, who is God?
Jesus revealed his God and our God, by making his name known to his disciples and us (Read John 17:6). In the Bible scripture of Psalms 83 18, he is identified as Jehovah. That’s his name, which has got a lot of meaning for us.
How can we understand God or his personality? By studying the bible, we get to know his personal traits from the dealings he had with humans from the beginning. He has spoken to humans through his prophets to show us how will gradually prepare us for a great deliverance, and sent his only begotten son to die as a martyr to deliver us from the slavery of death and sin.
